When contemplating where to spend our “wintery†vacation, The Virgin Islands topped the list. However, with so many island options the choices became overwhelming. This book was really helpful in selecting which island to make our “base†while hopping over to other islands such as St. John. We decided to stay on St. Thomas in one of the Wells’ properties. The accommodations of our condo was impeccable. From the serene views to the breathtaking landscape all around, this property is well cared for and provided comfort and pampering while away from home. In addition to the cleanliness and orderliness of the condo, we found it spacious and relaxing. They have thought of every amenity that one would want or need while vacation away from home. Additionally, the lay out of the condo within the resort was a real treat. The kids discovered a hide-away pool at the north end of the resort just a stones throw from the condo. Each day we played and swam in this pool. It was very nice and not heavily populated. Many a days we were the only ones at the pool which was awesome. The resort also offers dining options which makes it convenient after a sunny, warm, fun-filled day of island hopping and excursions. The most valuable item we took on vacation with us was the book written by Kristen Wells. As previously mentioned, we stayed in a property owned by her in St. Thomas. This book did a fantastic job outlining how to tour the neighboring Virgin Islands and made it rather thoughtless. We were able to plan our trips within our budget and enjoy the finest the Virgin Islands have to offer. Whether it was Catamaran-ing between the islands, or jet-skiing in the open waters, it was the perfect guide showing what the islands have to offer and how to enjoy it all. The places we elected to visit, or excursions we planned were also kid friendly. These islands are perfect for a romantic get-away, but also kid friendly so families can enjoy spending time together and creating chance of a lifetime memories.
The other reviews must be Kristen's friends. I was expecting a travel guide when I purchased this book. What I got was basically Kristen spending a week at the Islands and eating fish sandwich? Of course she promotes her condo that she bought and rents out and you get plenty of mention of that, advertising and some amateur emoticons like ";)" thorough the book ... wow
It was more like a journal of her trip posted for everyone to read. I was hoping for mor photos perhaps and more info on the towns. Less about the real estate options at your condo, sorry.
Kristen, we enjoyed reliving our trip to paradise with you and Jeff as we read your blog. No better vacation in the world to recharge and eliminate stress. We can't wait to stay at your beautiful condo again. Thank you for an amazing week filled with adventure and memories to last a lifetime!! Very informative! I love the Virgin Islands, but I have not been to many of the places mentioned. I want to see it all the next time I visit, and I hope Kristen's condo will be available then. The photographs are gorgeous, too!
